Library Welcome
Hello Randle Families!
My name is Krystal Lerma, and I am thrilled to serve as the campus librarian at Randle Elementary. I am a proud product of Lamar CISD, having attended schools in the district from Pre-K through 12th grade. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Houston–Downtown, where I taught Kindergarten and Pre-K beginning in 2013. In 2023, I completed my Master’s degree in Library Science from Texas Woman’s University.
I had the honor of opening the library program at Randle Elementary as a first-year librarian, and I have loved every minute of it. Building meaningful relationships with students and their families is at the heart of what I do, and it motivates me to show up and give my very best each day. Helping students discover new stories, ideas, and adventures through books has become a growing passion of mine, and I am so excited to teach, guide, and inspire our Raptors here at Randle.
Some of my favorite children’s books include Frog and Toad, The Giving Tree, Chrysanthemum, and Sam and Dave Dig a Hole. Growing up, I loved getting lost in stories from the Goosebumps series and The Boxcar Children. I can’t wait to share my love of reading and help our students find books they’ll enjoy just as much!
